Summertime Silky Sampler

This stitched sampler is considered an intermediate design because it is stitched on a fine count of linen.  If you'd like to make it easier, simply stitch it on the fabric of your choosing.  This cross stitch pattern has an old-time feel to it that parents and grandparents would enjoy.

Materials:

  • 7" x 8" piece of 35-count white linen, or your favorite fabric
  • #28 Tapestry needle
  • Kreinik Silk Mori in colors: 5097, 5055, 7014, 4166, 6106, 7012, 3013
  • Chart

Steps:

  1. If stitching on linen, each square on the chart equals two fabric threads.

  2. Stitch over two threads centered on your linen using one strand of Silk Mori for all cross stitches following color key.

  3. Use one strand of Silk Mori 6106 to backstitch the word "Summer" and one strand of Silk Mori 5097 to backstitch the windows.

@mommamel and doctorannette 1704727: We apologize for the inconvenience. We have added the chart to the materials list and linked it to a full-size version of the chart that should open in a new window. Hope this helps! -- Editors of FaveCrafts

I agree, where's the pattern?
