Blue Hydrangea Crocheted Flower

Your kitchen or bathroom will bloom in beauty with these Blue Hydrangea Crocheted Flowers.  Great for arranging in a bowl or turning into button covers, these crochet flower patterns are quick and so easy to make.  These adorable crocheted flowers would also make cute napkin rings or curtain ties.  The possibilities are nearly endless for how you can use these super sweet crocheted flowers!

Blue Hydrangea Crocheted Flower


  • 5 mm (H) hook
  • 8 yards of Chic Cotton Yarn
  • Stitch marker
  • Wool needle


At the end of each round just carry on, do not join with a slip stitch unless otherwise marked.  Mark the start of each round and then move marker as a round is completed.

Ch 5 – join with ss to create a ring

  1. Round 1) 8 sc in the ring (8)
  2. Round 2) In the Front Loops Only (mark the 1st back loop not used with a stitch marker as well as the 1st st) 8 sc inc (16)
  3. Round 3) In the Front Loops Only (move the marker for the 1st st to this rounds 1st stitch) *1 sc, 1 sc inc* x 8, ss to 1st sc of this round, finish (24)  Turn the flower over – you will now be crocheting in the back loops not used previously.
  4. Round 4) Join the yarn to the back loop you marked from round 2, Crochet in the back loops,  Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 1 dc in same stitch, 23 dc inc, 1 ss to next st in both loops, finish (48)
