Easy Fairy Wand Craft

"Perfect for imaginative play, this Easy Fairy Wand Craft is loved by kids of all ages. Because some days you need a simple craft made with materials you already have on hand. This sparkly craft is appropriate for home, school, or camp. It’s a cute addition to the dress-up bin, and isn’t just for pretending to be a fairy. My son used it to pretend he was a wizard! All you need to make this Easy Fairy Wand Craft is Yellow card stock paper (standard) wooden popsicle sticks (standard) or coffee stir sticks, a yellow marker, tape, gold glitter, glue stick, and a star paper punch."

Materials List

  • Yellow card stock paper (standard)
  • Wooden popsicle sticks (standard) or coffee stir sticks
  • Yellow marker
  • Tape
  • Gold Glitter
  • Glue Stick
  • Star paper punch (EK Tools, Large)

Instructions

  1. After gathering supplies, use the paper punch to cut out paper stars.

  2. Use a glue stick to spread glue over the stars, then sprinkle generously with gold glitter. Contain the glitter mess by doing this part on a paper plate.

  3. While the glue is drying, color a craft stick or stir stick (pictured) with a yellow marker.

  4. When the stars are dry, shake off the extra glitter. Then use tape to attach the craft stick or stir stick to the back of the star.

  5. Play, imagine, and have fun!
