Materials:

  • Jacquard Products Idye
  • Gift tags
  • Paper Towels
  • Jacquard's Lumiere in Metallic Silver
  • Brush
  • StazOn inks
  • Script and Bird Stamp
  • Neopaque paint
  • Paper lunch bags
  • Canvas/Cardboard for handles

Instructions:

  1. Dip dye the tags in the mixture.
     
  2. Jacquard' Products Idye comes in machine washable friendly packets but can be dissolved in hot water and used for other surfaces such as paper.

  3. Mix everything up in a gallon sized baggie that can be zipped up and stays fairly mess free. Dip the tags into the mixture and let them dry on paper towels for a few minutes.

  4. Once dry, dry brush them with Jacquard's Lumiere in Metallic Silver to give them extra sheen. Adding paint to the tags also makes them more durable.

  5. Use StazOn inks with script font stamp and little bird stamp to stamp toward the bottom of the tags.

  6. Dry brushing some Neopaque paint around the edges of the tags adds a finishing touch.

  7. Add tags to plain lunch sacks with the tops rolled down cuff-style. Add some lace trim and a little sparkly embellishment to the tag. Handles were created using paper punches and fluted paper from Canvas Corp.
     
  8. Stuff with shredded kraft paper.

I know this is a spring craft but I can use it anytime of the year. The gift tag colour is rustic and will be wonderful for Halloween and Thanksgivings too because it kinda has a fall vibe to it. The lace however has a dainty feel that feels like spring.
