How to Make the Loop Stitch
With the wrong side of the work facing you, instead of making a regular sc, insert hook into next st, then using your middle finger, loop yarn under and over your finger (from front to back) and catch with the hook, pull a loop through (see picture at left -- there is a loop of yarn still around the middle finger, the middle finger and thumb are holding the row, and a loop has been pulled through the stitch), finish sc like usual. Pull your finger carefully out of the loop, then go to the next stitch. Again, wrap the yarn around your middle finger (from front to back and underneath and over your finger), insert hook and catch the yarn with the hook and pull through a loop, finish sc as usual.

I love just about anything Santa. This is so cute I can't pass him by. So many ways to use him. As an ornament yes, but also as a pin, a decoration on a Christmas present, or added to my wreath. I may even put him on a cord as a pendant. So many possibilities. Thank you for offering him.

Really darlin. Thank you for Santa, I am goin to use them for Pins to attach to Blouse, Jacket etc. Way cute. Merry Christmas and God's Blessins to you and yours.
