Pretty Peacock Card

Pretty Peacock Card

Updated 7/11/22

If you're looking for fun and different card making ideas, look no further than this innovative paper project. Create a Pretty Peacock Card using decorative paper and fun embellishments. This is a fantastic craft for a birthday or special occasion.

  • Dazzles Outline Sticker ‘93 Lacy Frames and Borders’
  • Patterned paper
  • Design Tool Kit #3
  • Birds of a Feather 3D Paper Tole Kit
  • Pop-dots/foam pads

  1. Apply a Dazzles outline sticker ‘93 Lacy Frames and Borders’ to one of the papers and cut around it to create a frame. What’s clever about that frame is that it comes in four parts, so it’s easier to manage than if it were one big tricky sticker to apply. Also cut that way they can be used as corners too.

  2. Next, create layers using two contrasting papers with matting and layering, making sure I rounded the corner of the second layer so it stands out.

  3. Use the Design Tool Kit #3 and cut out a frame using the polka dot paper. Then create layers using the sticker frame.

  4. Assemble the peacock from Birds of a Feather 3D Paper Tole Kit. You have to be gentle when punching out the various bits, but there are always instructions and all the layers are numbered, so you know what goes where.

  5. As you can see from the picture above, you need to use pop-dots/foam pads and build your layers so that the focal point (peacock) becomes almost like 3D.

This is so elegant! Can also be in different colors.

Love the way this looks - how do I get the Birds of a Feather 3D Tole Kit - is it online, or do I have to go to a craft store?

Hey Tristan, thanks for the compliment, Birds of a Feather 3D Tole Kit will be available very soon from I had preview supplies so I could play with them. I'm glad you like the card. All The Best, Fab ! :)
