Natural Mason Jar Flower Vase

Mason jar vases are so darling for flowers! Decorate a jar with a length of natural cotton and other rustic, floral embellishments. Twine is your friend with this beautiful country craft, and with double-sided adhesive this project comes together in just minutes. Choose your favorite patterned paper to make a heart to adhere to the vase. The pop of color with floral paper is a lovely touch, but you can also choose a wood button or similarly rustic embellishment to complement the rest of the elements. This is a fantastic centerpiece for spring.

Recycling and Decorating Jars

  1. Start by cutting a strip of cotton (don’t worry if it needs ironing – adds to the natural look!) Apply two lines of Crafty Power Tape.

  2. Easy to remove the backing from this tape and wrap around the jar, it affixes perfectly.

  3. To adhere the textured ribbon, select Extreme Double-Sided Tape, 1/4″ Permanent. This is extremely tacky and ideal for so many surfaces.

  4. For an additional decoration piece, choose a mini wooden heart and to keep it in place using 3D Foam Square, White Regular. Perfect!

  5. To decorate a second jar, again use cotton and this time die cut a heart affixed with MyStik® Permanent Strips. You can decorate as little or as much as you wish; it’s fun to put your personal stamp on a plain jar.

  6. The finished jars with some flowers from the garden.

  7. Perhaps place them on garden tables if you are having a barbecue or on your kitchen window sill to bring the garden into your home.
