Multi Colored Denim Wreath

Perfect for any season, this Multi Colored Denim Wreath from Amanda Formaro is thrifty and fun to make.  Reuse and refurbish all your unwanted jeans, jean coats, fabric, and ribbons and turn them into a fun multi colored wreath like this!

multi colored wreath

  • Denim, cut into 3"x1/2" strips (I used 6 different colors)
  • Styrofoam wreath form
  • Pencil
  • Burlap
  • Long push pins

  1. You can color denim with Rit Dye.

  2. Place a denim strip on the wreath form and push into the center of it with the point of a pencil. Repeat this process until wreath is covered.

This multi colored denim wreath is so cute and will look so pretty on your door and it would also look gorgeous over a fireplace to give your home that rustic look. I love the texture of the denim and all the different colors of jeans used. I love that this wreath looks real full and not thin. It is a great idea to make your own so you can have control on the color textures and fullness of the wreath you want. Pick up some old jeans at the thrift stores, yard sales or ask your family or friends if they have any that they do not want. Great way to recycle and you do not need big pieces so you can use any size of clothing or fabric. Great tutorial and so super easy.

I had no idea that this wreath was made with denim at first glance. That is awesome looking and what a great way to recycle a bunch of old denim. I love the idea of using dye to make denim any color I would like. Do I need to cut the denim into strips before I dye the fabric? Or should I dye the fabric before I cut the strips?

I already make different kinds of wreaths, but I haven't make this kind yet! I love it! It would look gorgeous with the rustic decor that's so trendy now. I don't have colored denim, but I imagine I could pick up some kids shorts or pants at the thrift store!

I absolutely LOVE this!!!
