"Do you have old T-shirts you're planning to throw away after Spring cleaning? Why not make them into something useful. This is not just a fun project, you wont need to spend a dime to achieve. Even if the T-shirts are all odd colours, the better for a more colourful result. So take out those old Tees and hook up this rug. You can use them in your bathroom, as a play mat for your kids, place it in your kitchen... wherever you will."

This is a good idea. It looks to me that this would be a soft rug to have for any room. It certainly would be easy to toss it into the washer and hang it to dry. This is quite an easy pattern too. We have plenty of old t-shirts for me to make some nice rugs.

She has really made this look easy for a newbie to making tee shirt rag rugs. If you are like me and have not delved into this DIY craft yet of making your own tee shirt yarn, you might feel a little bit more able with her easy to follow instructions! I love random color choices because they make it look like a bohemian chic home decor item. I would see if I could mix in some velvet ribbon and perhaps some lace, too, for textural interest! This could really be a fun one.
