Quick and Easy Messy Bun Hat
"The Quick and Easy Messy Bun hat is a crocheted hat that you can wear with a bun or ponytail. It works up quickly using Lion Brand Scarfie yarn and size K and L crochet hooks. This is a quick project, taking most crocheters two hours or less to complete and uses basic crochet skills including chaining and single crochet. A special stitch is used called the modified bean stitch which gives it a lovely texture."
Crochet HookK/10.5 or 6.5 mm hook, L/11 or 8 mm hook
Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)
Crochet Gauge11 sts and 12 rows = 4″ in mbs with larger hook
Finished Size20" circumference, 7 1/2" tall

These modified hats would have been great to have a long time ago. Would have solved many mother/daughter arguments over covering head outside. Anyway this one has a nice texture and the pattern reads well. Just have to practice the modified bean stitch before starting the hat. Haven't seen that one before.

I really like this Quick and Easy Messy Bun Hat. After reading the written pattern, I can see this coming together quickly and sounds so easy! I have long hair down to my butt long and have made many hats to wear with pony tails and buns. I like the colors used in this one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern
