Primrose Dishcloth Crochet Pattern

"Well, this certainly isn’t the sexiest crochet pattern but it sure is practical. If you haven’t used crocheted dishcloths for doing your dishes, you’re missing out. They’re fabulous for scrubbing dirty dishes and many people I know swear by them. For this pattern, I used this amazing “2nd Time Cotton” which has a little extra texture to it. This yarn is 75% recycled cotton and 25% acrylic – a fantastic blend for scrubbing and drying out a little faster than 100% cotton yarn. It’s also an opportunity to be a little bit eco-conscience and that’s never a bad thing."

These are so pretty, and so useful. I think they would also be a great gift for a house warming. When it comes to kitchen items like scrubs, towels and hot pads, you can never have too many. Infact I would like to make a matching set of one of each as a gift.

I have always appreciated a textured dishcloth to grab the junk off the dishes. This Primrose Dishcloth Crochet Pattern is a great one for me to learn. I started a swatch with the written pattern and I like the way it looks and feels. I love finding a pattern that teaches a new stitch and this Primrose is new to me. I have never heard of the yarn she used, 2nd Time Cotton. ? Where does one find this yarn? I have a ball of cotton yarn on hand and will make one of these dishcloths with it. Thank you for sharing this free crochet dishcloth pattern.

That dark blue one with the light blue accent stripes is too cute. I'd use these more as decorative. They're too pretty to ruin with the dirty task of washing dishes. I've also never heard of the primrose stitch. Looks pretty, though. Can't wait to give it a whirl!

So, this primrose stitch is totally new to me. Is this the latest new thing in crochet? It is a little bit to remember, but my mind is pretty sharp, so I should be able to get a hold of it after a few rows. Wouldn't a half dozen of these look nice stacked up in a basket at the kitchen sink?
