    Crochet Gauge21 sts in pattern (7 dc + 7 ch-2 sp) = 4 (10 cm) when blocked. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.

    Finished SizeAdjustable. Sample measures 52 (132 cm) wingspan x 32 (81 cm) spine before blocking; 56 (142 cm) wingspan x 36 (91.5 cm) spine after blocking.

    Materials List

    • Teresa Ruch Designs Tencel 3/2 (100% tencel, 4 oz/113 g, 312 yd/285 m) 2 skeins in Blue Jazz, or approximately 530 yds (484.5 m) in any light weight tencel yarn.
    • US F-5/3.75 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain gauge.
    • Yarn needle.

    This is nice, light, and simple. It makes a nice accessory to any summer outfit. This may sound strange, seeing as this is a shawl after all, but I also made this using a heavier yarn and used it as a toy hammock in my sons room to keep the teddy bear pile out of the way. He loves it!

    Here is a project worthy of adding to my saved projects list. I love the look, I love the name, I love the open weave look to it. And she looks quite happy wearing it! We are in very early spring right now, and I know I can work this up quickly so I can wear it this week. It's light and airy and not bulky. It is a beautiful blue flower color.. what could be more perfect for spring when it's quite chilly the first half of the day?
