Bernat has discontinued their Cot'n Corn yarn. To substitute, choose a cotton blend yarn with the following gauge information 20 sts and 26 rows in a 4" gauge swatch on US-7 knitting needles.

I have tried to make this sweater several times. everytime I have tried, the numbers do not come out even, on the yarn forward rows. what is wrong with this pattern? Has it been tested?

yfwd is uk for yarn over needle

In this pattern, what does the abbreviation yfwd mean? I am looking forward to making this top for my daughter.
