Hi there I am very much a beginner and have no idea how to crochet this shell motive. Is it possible to load some images to assist with this? Thanks. Elsab from the West-Rand in Gauteng

Hi there! I just checked the original pattern and it does not come with additional stepout photos unfortunately. YouTube is a fantastic resource for learning how to do specific stitches like the shell stitch. I'd also recommend searching for resources on YouTube or AllFreeCrochet on crocheting on a diagonal. This is a sort of corner to corner pattern where you work the pattern diagonally, increasing as you go. This is a bit more challenging for beginners, so that is what I would recommend doing! Good luck!

I agree, I'd like to know the finished measurements of this. I did not see that listed unless I missed it somewhere. The "Nautical Waves Rug" requires you to work with three strands of cotton yarn all at once. I have done this before. A word of advice is to take frequent breaks because your forefinger on the left hand is going to get sore at some point! Other than that, it's a cute rug suitable for your hot tub or pool areas.

Hi there! Thanks so much for the comment. I've updated the pattern! Rug measures 22 x 29. - Dana from FaveCrafts

I thought this is an afghan but it's okay. It's a rug and it looks so cute. It can be placed in the living room or dining room and when this happens it will be the envy of guests and relatives. Thanks for having the pattern right in front of the page.

How big is this?

Eco-Cotton Blend by Red Heart is discontinued.
