Learn how to make a mini calendar using a slanted frame from Deflecto! This DIY desk calendar is an easy project to make for any paper crafter. You simply need a mini tear-off calendar for the current year and your favorite line of scrapbook paper to get started.
Decide whether you want your calendar to stand upright or to lean on a slant for easy marking. Choose a sentiment to embellish the calendar and you're done!
Your handiwork will be a lovely desk decoration for the months ahead. Best of all, you can reuse the frame for future years. Just replace the tear-off calendar with the new one for the following year. This would also make an excellent homemade gift around the holidays.

- Deflecto Mini Slanted Sign Holder 3" x 4"
- 2018 Mini Tear-Off Calendars
- One Big Happy Family Scrapbook Collection
- Red and White 3/16" Grosgrain/Stripes
- Ribbons RG-14
- Sprinkles
- Adhesive Tape Runners and Foam Tabs
- 1-1/4" Circle Punch
Instructions:

Adhere the 3/4" x 3" red scrapbook paper strip approximately 1/4" from the bottom of the 3" x 4"
scrapbook layer. (Option #1: Adhere word strip over 3/4" paper strip.) -
Decide if you want your mini calendar standing upright or laying down on a slant.

Insert 3" x 4" scrapbook layer into 3" x 4" Mini Slanted Sign Holder.

Adhere mini calendar to front of sign holder.

Embellish mini calendar with ribbon and Sprinkles. (Option #2: Adhere punched word circle with foam tab onto the top of the mini calendar frame.)

It's hard to stay organized when crafting, so I'm always grateful for any storage products I can find. I buy them and I use them - for the rest of my home, too!

I showed this project to a couple friends and of course i have been recruited to make 11 more so far ) I love the idea, even my friend's 6-year old wants one so she can write her kindergarten friends' birthdays on it!!

What a simple and great idea. Like one commenter below mentioned, this would be great for a message or note pad as well. I think I may make myself one to use as a pad to keep track of stitches and jot notes when working on my crochet and knitting projects, and another with the calendar and a note section to have on the desk.

very easy project! I made several last year fro Mother's Day, but instead of a calendar, I used a post it note pad for next to the telephone. Scrapbook paper easily changes whenever you want. Buy the plastic frames from the Dollar Tree

I stay rather disorganized. I have a tiny apartment, so my yarn is mostly in one hug box, supplies are in several plastic drawers.
