It would be neat to make a set of dish cloths along with a set of towels to give as a housewarming gift. I bet you could make 2-3 of these dish cloths with just one ball of Lily Sugar 'N Cream. I only wish they made more ombr color choices!

I love it when the total number of stitches is at the end of each round or row. That is most helpful to me. I do not consider myself a pro and have been trying to crochet for about 40 years.

As I sit here crocheting this pattern, I do realize that something is off because as mentioned below, the pattern does not create a 'square', as it should. I could work on tweaking it to get it to square off, however this messes up the pattern of where the holes should fall. I think I'll try a different pattern.

The round two instructiions were a bit confusing the way they were written but after I figured it out it was way easy and turned out good.

Love this pattern. Thank you so much for sharing. I only have 1 issue. With my first attempt with this pattern I finished with a triangle shape. The dishcloth looked exactly like one you have displayed only it came out triangular. I will try to post a picture of it. It's actually interesting and pretty. I don't know where I went wrong as of yet but I know I will definitely make another one and maybe I'll be able to pinpoint what actually happened. Then I can make more of both shapes! ;-) !

@ crochet mom: Hi! Sorry you are having trouble with our patterns. There should be no downloading to do with this pattern, as the project instructions are posted in full. If you would like to print the pattern, click the "print" button near the title. This should print the full pattern with the picture included. Hope this helps! -- FaveCrafts Editors

To normajohn 7703912 . In this pattern the initial ch 3 counts as the 1st of 4 dc, then you ch 2 and do 4dc's, until you have 4 sets of 4dc's, in this case. The main pattern instuctions are in the (). Because of the ch3 being counted as a double the first set of 4 dc's has different instructions (ie: ch. 3 3dc) Hope this helps and is not more confusing. Sorry for this newbie comment but I am confused. I have joined a ring and completed the 3dc in the ring but what does it mean in the parenthesis (ch2.4dc) ? Does it mean to do 3 dc and then chain 2 and do a fourth dc? I can't get it to come out to the dc needed to make the 4 sides of the granny square. From the picture it looks like there are 4 dc per side and then a space......4 dc and then a space. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Norma

I just finished making 25 of these dish cloths! It was VERY easy and they went together very quickly. I turned them into the thrift store where I volunteer. The donations to the thrift store help support our local food bank.
