Fun Garland
Crochet a holiday garland with little canes or an anytime garland with flowers or stars. This fun crochet garland from Lily Sugar n' Cream is a great way to use up scrap yarn.
Materials:
- Yarn: Lily® Sugar’n Cream
- Crochet Hook: Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- Assorted beads for A or C only: silver, red, white ¼ inch [6 mm] in diameter
- Hot glue
Size: 56.7 g / 2 oz of yarn makes a Garland approx 3.5 yds [3.25 m] long.
Gauge: 14 sc and 16 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].
Instructions:
Garland A: (Little stars).
1st row: *Ch 11. Sl st in 4th ch from hook. (Ch 4. Sl st in same sp as last sl st) 4 times. Rep from * to required length. Ch 6. Fasten off. Glue bead in center of each Star.
Garland B: (Candy canes).
1st row: *Ch 14. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook and each of next 5 ch. 2 sc in each of next 2 ch (place marker on last worked ch). Ch 4. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2 sc in each of next 2 ch. Ch 1. Sl st in marked ch. Rep from * to required length. Ch 7. Fasten off.
Garland C: (Flowers).
1st row: *Ch 15. Sl st in 5th ch from hook. (Ch 1. 1 sc. Ch 2. Sl st in top of sc – Picot made) 8 times in ch-5 ring. Rep from * to required length. Ch 9. Fasten off. Glue bead in center of each Flower.

I would love to be able to see what the star and flower garlands look like. The candy cane garland looks super cheesy and I will not be making that, but the star and flower garlands sound like they would be really pretty. Do you have any pictures?
