Lazy Daisy Tissue Box Cover

Use this tissue box cover pattern to make a lazy daisy tissue box cover to decorate your store-bought tissue boxes. Flowers and hearts adorn this plastic canvas craft for a pretty, girly look.

 Lazy Daisy Tissue Box

Materials:

  • 1 skein each Jockey Red and White Red Heart 4-ply yarn
  • 8 yds. Baby Pink Red Heart 4-ply yarn
  • 6 yds. Paddy Green Red Heart 4-ply yarn
  • 1 yd. each of 12 various 4-ply colors (for flowers)
  • 1 ½ sheets of 10 ½” x 13 ½” 7-mesh plastic canvas
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Boutique Tissue Box
  • Graph 1
  • Graph 2
  • Graph 3
     

SIZE: Fits a 4 3/8” w x 5 1/4” h x 4 3/8” boutique tissue box

Instructions:

  1. Cut 4 sides 33 x 36 holes.
     
  2. Cut 1 top 33 x 33 holes.
     
  3. Cut sixteen 7 x 7 holes for large hearts.
     
  4. Cut four 5 x 5 holes for small hearts.
     
  5. Stitch sides and top as shown on graphs.
     
  6. Fill in blank areas with white continental stitches.
     
  7. Sew lazy daisy flowers (using one color in each frame) and stems over white continental stitches.
     
  8. Stitch hearts and overcast with matching color.
     
  9. Sew on hearts as shown on graph.
     
  10. Overcast tissue opening with green.
     
  11. Whipstitch sides together with red between flower area and white for all other areas.
     
  12. Whipstitch top to sides with red.
     
  13. Overcast bottom with red.

Very cute idea. I usually make tissue box covers with crochet but I may try my hand at this. I do so many crafts, what's another one? Maybe I can make some extra pieces to match and place them in the bathroom. Thanks for sharing.
