Instructions:

  1. Row 1: With A and H hook ch 129, Sh in 6th ch from hook, *skip 2 ch, dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, Sh in next ch, rep from * across ending skip 2 ch, dc in last ch, ch 3 and turn.

  2. Row 2: *Sh in ch 1 sp of Sh, dc in dc, rep from * across, dc in last dc, fasten off and turn.

  3. Rep Row 2 in a 2-row color pattern: A, B, C 8 times
    (48 rows)

Edging

  1. With A and I hook starting at top edge right corner (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in first dc, *sc in ch 1 sp of Sh, skip 2 dc, Sh in next dc, skip 2 dc, rep from * across ending (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in last dc, work along side edge *sc in dc, Sh in next dc, rep from * across ending (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in l st ch st of bottom edge, work along bottom edge *sc in ch below Sh, Sh in ch below dc, rep from * across ending (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc) in last ch, work along side edge as for opposite side edge, join to beg dc and fasten off.

Wow perfect timing, I have a baby shower coming up soon and I have been looking for the right afghan to make. I love the look of this Shells and Double Crochets Baby Afghan.
