Wow... my son, who turned 37 this year, made a reindeer ornament like this when he was in first or second grade. It has a red nose and no wreath or holly, but otherwise it's just the same. The best things never get too old! Maybe I will make him one and see if he remembers. Neat ornament!

This a cute idea - it is simple to make without being tacky so many of the ornaments offered at the craft fair last week were tackier than they were cute, but this first- and second-graders could make and be proud to take home.

I taught school many years. The children in my classes really enjoyed making these reindeer. I was thinking about these just yesterday. Thanks for including them. I have another ornament we used to make - an angel using a wooden ice cream spoon. I don't know if you can even get the spoons any more.

I used to make these as a kid. I miss that. Thank you for posting this craft. I think I'll share this tradition with my family. )
