Words of Love Heart Shoes
Deliver your Valentine message, even down to her feet, with words of love in acrylic paint.
Materials:
DecoArt Products Required
SoSoft Fabric Acrylics
- DSS7 - Peaches & Cream
- DSS51 - Pineapple
- DSS57 - Baby Pink Deep
- DSS75 - Green Apple
Supplies
- 1/4" flat brush
- Foam plate
- Pencil
- Extra fine point black permanent marker
- Coordinating 1/4" ribbon (We used black & white gingham check.)
- Lo-temp glue gun
- Flame lighter
- Tracing paper
- Pencil
- White hi-top canvas shoes
Steps:
- Preparation: Remove any tags from shoes; remove shoelaces.
- Use pencil to lightly trace heart pattern over canvas surface of shoes.
- Refer to photo and paint hearts with all listed SoSoft colors; let dry.
- Use permanent marker to write phrases on hearts:
On Pineapple hearts, we used "U R Cute".
On Deep Periwinkle Blue hearts, we used "hugs".
On Baby Pink Deep hearts, we used "Be Mine".
On Peaches & Cream hearts, we used "Luv U".
On Green Apple hearts, we used "Kiss me".
- Cut two lengths of ribbon same length as removed shoelaces. Place lo-temp glue over 1/2" of ends and roll tightly from side to side. Using caution while holding each end near flame, seal ends to prevent raveling. Lace shoes with ribbons.
