Fleece Dinosaur
This soft Fleece Dinosaur from Debbie Buckland is a great gift for your little boy! It's so fun sewing stuffed animals, and who can resist this cute stuffed dinosaur? Made from polar fleece, this easy sewing project is soft for even the youngest of dino lovers!
Materials:
- Polar fleece
- Main body 31″ long and 11″ high cut out and unstuffed (cut 2)
- Spine piece is 33″ long (cut 1)
- Underbelly 62.5″ long and 2″ wide (cut 1)
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing materials
- Stuffing
- 2 small buttons
Instructions:
- Hand draw or find a dinosaur template. See our measurements above.
- Pin spine between both sides of the body pieces.
- Top sew in place.
- With your underbelly strip cut a point in the material…. this goes on the tail end…
- Now pin the underbelly to the dino body… one side at a time….
- At the head do the following….
- Cut a tip then pinch between your fingers and trim – then pin the “underbelly part”
- Make sure you leave an opening on one side of the belly.
- Top sew making sure you leave that opening on one side of the belly.
- Now stuff your dinosaur…. I used an old pillow inside for stuffing.
- Now sew or hand sew the belly closed.
- Sew on the button eyes. This is also a good time to make sure all your seams are closed.
