Funky Salt and Pepper Shakers

Add some to your kitchen table with these funky salt and pepper shakers embellished with beads and fiber. You can match the threads to your kitchen color scheme. 

Materials:

• Salt and pepper shakers
• Treasure Tape, 3/4" roll
• Kreinik holographic thread colors in 1/8" Ribbon size
• Flat-backed cabochons (optional)
• Micro beadlets; we used gold Beadlets from Kreinik (also available are clear beads and silver beads)
• Shallow pan or tray

Instructions:

1. Lay a strip of double-sided Treasure Tape on each shaker. Remove the red liner to expose the top sticky surface.
    
2. Begin decorating with thread: lay the 1/8" Ribbon in desired pattern. See our photo for inspiration.
    
3. Place any flat-backed buttons or cabochons in open sticky areas.
    
4. Then place your shakers in a shallow pan or tray and cover all remaining sticky areas with the gold micro beads.
