My kids are all grown now, and every year I make them dish cloths to add to their stockings. These little snowmen will be a nice addition. I can decorate them differently, and maybe add little santa hats to them as a hook to hang them to dry. I love them.

I am finding all these dish cloth patterns that are so cute for the holidays. What I like about this snowman one, it can be used throughout the entire winter season (you are not limited because it's Santa or Rudolph two, it is a great one nighter project. My question is, just what is the size of this guy? I cannot seem to find it anywhere. Not important, but I like to know.

I love snowmen and I will make this for sure. A hat would be no problem. Just make a chain an inch longer then the head. Make about four rows of single or double stitches, then slip stitch in from one end to start the upward part. Crochet to almost the end, stopping when the remaining stitches equal the amount you slip stitched in the beginning. Work back and forth until it's the height you like.

What a cute dish cloth and it will match my snowman themed Christmas kitchen! What a wonderful basic pattern that can be easily adapted to make many different snowmen, snow ladies, and snow children. For example, a crocheter could add a carrot nose or use buttons for the eyes. To make snow children I would just make the pattern smaller by evenly decreasing stitches. The possibilities are endless! Because this pattern is so adaptable it would also make a wonderful craft show item to sell. This also looks like a pattern that could be worked up quickly in an evening.

Love the pattern !!! Can't wait to make a few for some friends. But what about his big, black top hat?!?!?!

@Sweet Linda You probably could add a hat! If you figure it out, snap a pic and share it with us on Facebook! (www.facebook.com/favecrafts)
