Painted Flower Stool

Materials:

  • Americana Acrylics
    • DAO1 - Snow (Titanium) White
    • DAO45 - Mint Julep Green
    • DAO6 - Pineapple
    • DAO29 - Boysenberry Pink
    • DA212 - Deep Periwinkle
  • Americana Spray Sealers
    • DAS13 - Americana Matte Spray
  • Americana Brushes
    • DBL1580-B - Script Liner #10/0
    • DBF2575-B - Flat 3/4"
  • Disposable palette or foam plate
  • #8 flat brush
  • Water container
  • Paper towels
  • Assorted sizes of sponge pouncers
  • Tracing and transfer paper
  • Pencil
  • Round wood stool (Bear Creek)
    Pattern

 

Steps:

  1. Draw or trace flower design on stool top.
     
  2. Use 3/4" brush to paint petals, Deep Periwinkle; flower center, Boysenberry Pink; and remainder of top, Mint Julep Green. Let dry.
     
  3. Use #8 flat brush to paint sections on legs using all colors as desired.
     
  4. Use pouncers to dot Pineapple on flower center and Boysenberry Pink to dot Deep Perwinkle area on legs.
     
  5. Use 3/4" brush and Pineapple to stripe top edges. Let all dry.
     
  6. Mist with Americana Matte Spray, allowing to dry between coats.
