Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of projects are you looking for?

The type of projects we are looking for are always listed on the Submit Your Project page. The editor will keep this updated as the need for particular projects arises. You can submit any type of craft you would like, but submitting one we have asked for gives you a better chance of being featured prominently in a newsletter or blog post.

Do I have to fill everything out?

No. You can skip certain fields like the materials and instructions list on our form.

What should I name my project?

Project names should be about 4 words long. Readers love descriptive and interesting names. Names that mention materials used, time spent, or pop culture (like Downton Abbey or John Wayne) references often do well. Our readers also enjoy color names like lilac, peyote, seabreeze, sunset, navy blue, and more. The more intriguing the better. Browse our newest craft projects or subscribe to our newsletter for some ideas.

What kind of copy/description are you looking for?

Your copy must be 50 words long. We recommend that you be specific and fun. Let readers know why your project is worth looking at over others. Is it budget friendly? Does it use an interesting technique? Is it so cute that you get a million compliments on it? These kind of details help your link stand out.

I submitted by project, but it didn’t show up! Where is it?

Projects must be approved by editors at FaveCrafts.com. This means they can take some time. Our editorial assistants, interns, and editors are constantly adding projects, but if we have a lot of submissions it can take a few weeks.

How long does it usually take for my project to be posted?

As stated above, it can take up to two weeks or more for projects to be added to the site. We will contact when your project is up.

I don’t have a blog. Can I still submit my projects?

Absolutely! So long as the project is original and 100% yours we would love to see it. If you do not have a link for your project, you must submit a list of materials and instructions. If you just want to show us what you made, head on over to our Facebook or comment a relevant project on our site with a photo.

Do you have a button I can post on my featured project?

Absolutely! Head on over to this page to grab a button for your site or the project featured. We always love to be featured.

There’s an error on my project. How do I edit my submitted project?

Unfortunately, you cannot edit your own projects on the site. If there is an error on your project, reply to the email you receive pertaining to your project and let the editor know. They should be able to help you! If that does not work, feel free to fill out a Contact Us form on our site or comment on your project on the site. The editor will see your comment and send you an email.

Where else can I submit my projects?

If you are interested in being featured on our other craft or food sites, visit their homepages. A link to their form will be featured in the header of their site. Scroll down to the bottom of the Prime Publishing LLC site for links to all of your websites.

Good Morning! I am interested in submitting clay projects to your publications. I work with both polymer clay and paper/air dry clay. I design jewelry and small time such as boxes, fairy houses, and ornaments. I am a decorative artist with over 250 published articles since 2006. I am interested in getting more details on your submission guidelines and your editorial calendar. Could you also kindly provide circulation numbers for your craft magazines? Thank you! Linda

Hi Linda! So glad you hear you're interested in submitting to us. Please look out for an email from me with our editorial calendar attached, as well as additional submission guidelines and circulation numbers. Thanks for reaching out!

Once I've submitted a project and it has been accepted (I can tell because of the traffic I'm getting from favecrafts to my blog), how do I find it here? Is it listed under my account? I don't think so because I can't find it. I just want to be sure there's some way to track what patterns I've submitted and which I haven't yet. Thanks for your help!

Hi there! You should get an email from us anytime your projects go live on the site, but in case you don't you can search by your last name on the site to find your projects, or by your blog URL (such as awesomeblog.com). I hope that helps!
