Bold Stripe Rug with Fringe


Finished size 20” X 40” with fringe

Materials:

  • Knitting board with 84 needles
  • Knit hook
  • Crochet hook for edges and fringe
  • Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease (thick and Quick) 5 skeins (3 Cranberry and 2 Apple Green)

Instructions:

  1. At each color change, tie on new yarn. Cut the working yarn. The tails can be left in the fringe once complete, or tucked into the knitting.
  2. Cast On 84 stitches in Cranberry. Lay anchor yarn.
  3. Knit 6 Rows
  4. Tie on Green
  5. Knit 3 rows.
  6. Cranberry 5 rows
  7. Green 4 rows
  8. Cranberry 7 rows
  9. Green 4 rows
  10. Cranberry7 rows
  11. Green 6 rows
  12. Cranberry 6 rows
  13. Green 4 rows
  14. Cranberry 7 rows
  15. Green 3 rows
  16. Cranberry 5 rows
  17. Bind Off with crochet hook with 1 thru 1.
  18. Bind Off at anchor Yarn with pulling 1 loop thru 1 loop.
  19. Fringe: Cut strands of green yarn aprox 7” long for 3” fringe. Insert each strand into edge stitches on both ends of rug for a colorful fun finish.

i wish sometimes you could get a closer look at patterns .. I love most of what I get and make here but would like to see up close before making. thank you guys for all you do these are wonderful projects.

You can get a pretty good look if you zoom your screen view out to 200 or 400%, trene. Hope this helps :)
