Cottontail Toilet Paper Roll Napkin Rings

Materials:
- 1-2 toilet paper roll tubes
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Grey paint
- Puff paint in pink and black
- 1 mini pom-pom
- Craft glue
Instructions:
- Draw the basic shape of a bunny on the toilet paper tube.
- Cut along the pencil line.
- Paint the tube grey (don't forget to paint the inside of the tube. It is visible when the napkin is removed). Set aside to dry.
- Use the puff paint to add eyes, ears, a nose and a mouth. Set aside to dry (putting a container of paint inside each tube helps keep them level and upright).
- When the paint is completely dry, turn the bunny over and glue a pom-pom tail in place.

These would be so adorable on your Easter table and a project all the kids could be involved doing. You could personalize them by putting your guests name on them instead of place cards. And then after dinner, you could put a small bag of homemade candy in them and have your guests take them home as their party favor.

67. My preschoolers in my home daycare will love making these! Sometimes its hard for them to squeeze the glue out of the bottle, so I pour some in a container and let the kids dip in a Popsicle stick to get their glue out. I use a small, glass votive candle holder because its heavy and doesnt tip over like a lightweight plastic dish would. Its also deeper than wide, so you dont have to put in a lot of glue for the kids to get enough glue on their sticks.

These are very cute. I do think though that when I have my 2 and 4 year olds make them that I will paint them white and then let them use markers instead to make the faces. This will be a fun way to get everybody involved in getting Easter dinner ready and keep them busy while the food is cooking.

That's a very good idea. Sometimes a little prep goes a long way for having a better finished product when youre working with 2-4 year olds. I have a home daycare and my preschoolers would do better making a face with markers. And if you want to be able to work on making Easter dinner, you can walk away when theyre using markers, but not when they're painting!
