Pink and Blue Single Shell Ripple Afghan

  • Red Heart Yarn:
    • 650 yds. White Red Heart 4-ply yarn (W)
    • 165 yds. Light Blue Red Heart 4-ply yarn (B)
    • 165 yds. Petal Pink Red Heart 4-ply yarn (P)
  • H crochet hook or size needed for gauge

6 dcs = 2”
4 rows = 3 ¼”

Size: 37” x 37”

Stitch Guide:
Chain (ch), Single Crochet (sc), Double Crochet (dc)
Special Stitch – Shell (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc)

Note: Work all rows in back loop.

Row 1 – With white ch 124, dc in 4th ch from hook , dc in each of next 4 ch, 3 dc in next ch, dc in each of next 6 ch, *skip 2 ch, Shell in next ch, skip 2 ch, dc in each of next 6 ch, 3 dc in next ch, dc in each of next 6 ch, rep from * across, ch 3 and turn.
Row 2 – Skip 1 dc, dc in each of next 5 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 6 dc, *Shell in Shell, skip 1 dc, dc in each of next 6 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in each of next 6 dc, rep from  *across, ch 3 and turn.
Rep Row 2 for color scheme as follows: (47 rows) 3W P W B W P 3W B W P W B 3W P W B 3W P W B 3W P W B W P 3W B W P W B 3W

With white working along both side edges (sc, ch 2, sc) in each dc across.

To: njdlc15 8115646 shell in shell means you put the shell in the ch 2 space between the 2 dcs that make up your shell 2 dc ch 2 2 dc shell goes here hope this helps.

What does shell in shellmean Iam making this blanket and I am confused over this direction?
