Create a festive beaded Christmas tree decoration for your cell phone or iPod. Simply peel off the tape after the holidays.

Beaded Christmas Cell Phone Project

Materials:

  • iPod or Cell phone
  • 4" x 6" Treasure tape sheet
  • Diamond Beadlets
  • Fabric scraps or colors of Kreinik Tapestry #12 Braid and 1/16" Ribbon
  • Shallow pan or tray

Steps:

  1. Cut a piece from your Treasure Tape sheet to fit your cell phone. We used a square set on point.Peel off the white liner and lay it on a smooth surface of your phone.

  2. Peel off the red liner to expose the sticky part.

  3. Begin embellishing. For our tree design, we used brown fabric scrap for the tree trunk, green fabric scraps for the branches, and Tapestry #12 Braid in 091 Star Yellow to make the star.

  4. When thread decorating is complete, put your phone in a shallow pan and cover remaining sticky areas with Diamond Beadlets. Press beadlets into the tape to adhere. Tap phone lightly to remove excess beadlets.

Kreinik threads available through needlework stores or www.kreinik.com.
