Delicate Angel Doll Crochet Pattern

Materials:

  • 1 ball 3 ply pport yarn in Cream
  • 11" Cloth Doll
  • 2 1/4 yds Cream 1/4" Satin Ribbon
  • Size F crochet hook

 

Stitches:

  • Shell - (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next st or sp
  • Double Shell (dbl shell) - (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next st or sp.
  • Beginning Shell - Ch 3, (dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in same st or sp.

 

Instructions:

  1. Row 1: Starting at neckline, ch 32, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next 5 chs, 3 dc in next ch, dc in next 14 chs, 3 dc in next ch, dc in last 7 chs, turn (34 dc)
     
  2. Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 7 sts, shell in next st, dc in next 16 sts, shell in next st, dc in last 8 sts, turn (32 dc, 2 shells)
     
  3. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, skip next dc, (shell in next dc, skip next dc) 3 times, dbl shell in ch sp of next shell, skip last 2 dc of same shell, (shell in next dc, skip next dc) 8 times, dbl shell in ch sp of nex tshell, skip last 2 dc of same shell, skip next dc, (shell in next dc, skip next dc) 3 times, 2 dc in last dc, turn (14 shells, 4 dc, 2 dbl shells)
     
  4. Row 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, shell in ch sp of each shell and dbl shell in ch sp of each dbl shell across to last 2 dc, skip next dc, 2 dc in last dc, turn (14 shells, 4 dbl shell, 4 dc)
     
  5. Rnd 5: Working in rnds, ch 3, dc in same st, shell each of next 3 shells; for armhole, ch 4, skip next 2 dbl shells; shell in each of next 8 shells; for armhole, ch 4, skip next 2 dbl shells, shell in each of next 3 shells, 2 dc in last dc, ch 1, join with sl st to top of ch-3, do not turn (14 shells, 2 ch-4 sps).
     
  6. Rnd 6: Sl st in next 3 dc, sl st in next ch sp, beg shell, shell in each of next 2 shells, shell in 2nd ch of next ch-4 sp, shell in each of next 8 shells, shell in 2nd ch of next ch-4 sp, shell in each of next 3 shells, shell in last ch-1 sp on last rnd, join (17 shells)
     
  7. Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each dc and in each ch-1 sp of each shell around, join (85 dc)
     
  8. Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, (dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc) around, join (102 dc)
     
  9. Rnd 9: Beg shell, skip next dc, (shell in next dc, skip next dc) around, join (51 shells)
     
  10. Rnd 10-14: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch sp, beg shell, shell in each shell around, join.
     
  11. Rnd 15: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, sc in next sp between shells, (5 dc in next shell, sc in next sp between shells) around, join, fasten off.

Sleeve Ruffle

  1. Rnd 1: Working around armhole, join with sl st in any ch, ch 3, dc in same ch, dc in each dc and in each ch-1 sp around with 2 dc in each ch, join with sl st in top of ch-3. (28)
     
  2. Rnd 2: Beg shell, skip next 3 sts, (shell in next st, skip next 2 sts) around, join (9 shells)
     
  3. Rnd 3: Repeat Rnd 10 of dress.
     
  4. Rnd 4: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, sc in next sp between shells, (5 dc in next shell, sc in next sp between shells) around, join, fasten off. Repeat sleeve ruffle in opposite armhole.

Wings

  1. Row 1: For first side, ch 16, (dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in 4th ch from hook, (skip next ch, shell in next ch) across, turn (7 shells)
     
  2. Row 2: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch sp, beg shell, shell in each shell across, turn.
     
  3. Row 3: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch sp, beg shell, shell in next 5 shells leaving last shell unworked, turn (6 shells)
     
  4. Row 4: Ch 1, sl st in first 2 dc, sl st in next ch sp, sl st in next 4 dc, sl st in next ch sp, beg shell, shell in each shell aross, turn (5 shells)
     
  5. Row 5-7: Repeat rows 3 and 4 alternately, ending with row 3 and 2 shells, fasten off.
     
  6. Row 1: For 2nd side, working on opposite side of row 1, with wrong side facing you, join with sl st in first ch , beg shell, (skip nex tch, shell in next ch) across, turn (7 shells)
     
  7. Rows 2-7: Repeat same rows of first side.

Finishing

  1. After placing dress on doll but two pieces of ribbon each 27" long. Starting at back, weave one piece through dc of rnd 1. Weave remaining piece through shell son rnd 6. Pull up to fit, tie each ribbon in knot on back leaving ends long. Place wings on back of dress by pushing ribbon through corresponding spaces between shells on row 2 of wings. Tie each into a bow. Tie remainder of ribbon into a bow around one dc on center front of row 2.

i layed out a pattern on my own and cut it out sewed iit on wrong side left opening on side to stuff hand sewed the opening and i had a doll just make the arms out straight and add a round head.. a straight body and two legs really easy you wont see anything but the hands and feet and the head so the body dont have to be perfect make it the size you need.... really easy

Where can u find the 11 inch cloth dolls for the delicate angel dress pattern?

This pattern makes a great doll for all times of the year. A black dress for a Halloween witch, brown for a Thanksgiving Indian, or Pilgrim grey. As you can see, the possibilities are endless. A very usefull pattern!
