Join the adult coloring movement! Color-by-Number: Animals is a stunning adult coloring collection by Walter Foster. Geometric shapes comprise the animals for truly unique effects. Varying shapes and sizes of these geometric shapes contribute to the difficulty level of each design, as well as the numbers to guide you! Explore a fascinating new way to color with this coloring book from Quarto.

Coloring by number might sound like an activity just for kids, but I assure you it is not. Just looking at the cover of this book should entice you immediately to begin coloring! I can't recommend this book enough. Color-by-Number: Animals opens with a charming introduction about the adult coloring movement and describes the structure of this book. You'll first read about all of the supplies and techniques you can use to color these animals. Colored pencils are my personal favorite, as they allow the most control and precision for fine details. However, crayons, markers, and even oil pastels, paints, and more are totally acceptable and encouraged. I love the section on Techniques (p. 10) as well. Coloring is one of my favorite activities, and this overview of techniques like shading, hatching, stippling, and doodling is so helpful for new colorists!

The templates in this book are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced depending on both the quantity of numbers given and the intricacy of the designs. Beginner templates have every number filled out so you don't need to think: just color and watch the gorgeous design unfold. Intermediate templates include some numbers but not all. Last, advanced templates don't have any numbers! Run wild with coloring power as you choose your own tints for the advanced templates.

If you think the dog on the cover of this book is totally gorgeous, you'll love the rest of the Color-by-Number: Animals found in this book. Wolves, bears, tigers, elephants, and more will entertain you for hours. For a completely awesome coloring experience, grab your copy of this book, relax, and color!
