I don't know if I misread the instructions somewhere but when I got to row 12 my dishcloth was not 8" or 9". I like the texture of this pattern but hope I didn't make a mistake somewhere.

It might have to do with your tension, which is totally okay! If the pattern isn't long enough, feel free to repeat until the dishcloth is a preferable length. Good luck!

Perhaps the magical and healing in the title comes from the fact that just crocheting something it is a stress reliever and lowers your blood pressure the magical could probably be said about the use of the variegated yarn and the way it works up in an unexpected fashion? It's a stretch. but I really don't care what the title says. I'll take a simple dishcloth pattern any day of the week.

These click bait titles are really getting out of hand. There is nothing magical or healing about this ordinary dish cloth. I will find another version of this pattern to share on social media.

I disagree, debbieomi. I always think of variegated yarn as magical since the color pools and shifts in such an effortless way, and all you have to do is keep crocheting!

Wow. Debbieomi, take a chill pill. This wasn't clickbait, just a creative title. Did you honestly expect a dish cloth to be either magical or healing? It's just a piece of fabric...

It has healed me from thinking about the lose of my children (56 and 71). If you are crocheting you think only of what you are doing. Your mind is upon the pattern. Yes, it is magic when you think about it.

Crochet or knitting is definitely meditative. We don't need the full abracadabra for it to be magical or healing. It's an individual take on what is magical and healing.
