Purple and Green Spider

Make this adorable purple and green spider. The neon colors add to the design. With a rose pot and saucer this cute spider will be yours to keep in seven easy steps. Makes a great Halloween decoration too.

Materials:

  • Americana Neons
    • DHS3 - Sizzling Pink
  • Americana Acrylics
    • DAO1 - Snow (Titanium) White
    • DAO34 - Lavender
  • 4" rose pot
  • 4" clay saucer
  • Chenille stems: 6 neon green, 1 neon pink
  • 25-mm wood ball bead
  • Wiggle eyes
  • White foam sheet
  • Round sponge pouncer
  • 3/4" flat brush
  • Palette or plastic plate
  • Water container
  • Paper towels
  • Scissors
  • Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks

 

Instructions:

  1. Use flat brush to paint pot, saucer, and wood bead Lavender.
     
  2. Use sponge pouncer to stamp Snow White dots on pot.
     
  3. Use sponge pouncer to stamp Sizzling Pink dots over Snow White dots.
     
  4. Cut two small pieces of white foam for teeth.
     
  5. Position and adhere wiggle eyes, teeth, and ball bead on saucer.
     
  6. Bend green chenille stems for legs. Position and adhere to pot.
     
  7. Curl pink chenille stem for antennae. Bend stem in center. Push down into ball bead hole and secure with glue.
