Materials:

  • Mason jar
  • Fabric or fabric ribbon – 36″
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. You will need approximately 36” of fabric or ribbon depending on the size bow you want.Wrap fabric around neck of jar and loop ends, just as you would to tie your shoelaces. Adjust the fabric so that the right side is facing you. You should have a short tail on the left side and a slightly longer tail on the right.

  2. Create a loop on the left by folding the fabric behind and holding it with your thumb and forefinger. (Don’t twist or fold over the top as this will cause your bow to twist and not lay flat when it’s finished.)

  3. Create a loop on the right side by taking the right tail under the left loop, up towards the top and through the hole you created by your thumb and forefinger. Pull loop through.

  4. Adjust the knot and the loop, by pulling and arranging the fabric until the bow formed , looks nice and is flat. Also make the bow loops the appropriate size for the jar or vase you are using.
