I know I have some old keys tucked in a drawer that would be perfect for this craft. These snowmen and women are absolutely adorable. This would be so cute for ornaments on a tree or for pulls on ceiling light. They'd be cute done as personalized ornaments with fibers the color of a family members hair too.

This is such a cute novelty idea, perfect for hanging on to the tree or even to add one on to the your bunch of keys a festive look! When we moved into our new home the old owner handed us a box of keys ( over half of which never worked in the house) so I now know a nice project to do with them and me niece)

I know that these are designed to be decoration, but I just want to make these to dress up my regular keys. I have a tendency to throw aways keys that I no longer need so this is not a practical craft for gift-giving but I can see my sporting these on my regular key chain.

The possibili"keys" of this project are endless. I was thinking to use them just as key chain fodder but I see the designer is using them as gift tags or decor. Instead of chunking out those useless keys, recycle.

I wonder how many of us have a lot of stray keys laying around the house that you are not sure what they go to then why not turn them into Snowman Keys and hang on your tree or decorate a special gift with some paint and a few scraps of fabric or pipe cleaners laying around. What a great idea and great family project too.you can even add a skirt and bow to make them a girl and a bow tie fr boy. These snowman keys look like a lot of fun.

So cute, creative and clever! You could further embellish these ornaments by making the bodies have some tiny buttons either painted in, or glued on little plastic or glass gems or rhinestone seed beads for some extra sparkle! These would be great on top of a pretty package in place of a bow and it becomes a part of the gift too! Would make a great giveaway for your students, or as a teacher gift as well! So much fun to make! Thanks for the nifty idea!

How cool are these keys? Do you have other ideas or just snowmen? These are so cute, I could see making them for Valentine's Day as a way to give someone special a key to your heart. Thanks for the inspiration! I will thoroughly enjoy making a batch of these for family and friends with the leftover keys I have laying around.

What a novel idea. I never would have thought to do this. My grand daughter will like helping me make them also. She looks forward to grandma having projects to work on when she comes by. I try to make them fun and sometimes educational. But no matter what we do it's always fun.

Too darn cute. I will have to pin this so that I can do this for the guys next time I do my Snowman Christmas theme. Already have something for it this year.

Can you tell us how long the wire is?

So cute! Cant wait to make them with my daughter :)

These are too, too cute. Will have to gather up all those keys nobody knows what they go to. When I saw the photo at first I thought these were snowmen made from plastic spoons. You decorate them the same as the keys - a great susbitute if you don't have keys on hand!

Its a really great idea to do with old keys.

They are so cute to put on for decorations on the Christmas tree, or door knob around the home, even on the drawers knobs in the kitchen.

I realy have a bunch of keys so I will be busy for a while. THANKS

Amanda, this is so cute!! Love it. And as I always say, "Keep Living the Crafting Life."
