I have tried 6 ways to Sunday to copy, print or download this pattern, but no figures appear in the pattern. Anyone else have a problem with that. I understand the running 8ths okay, but like pauprint43 8397968 I am a bit confused regarding the directions as well and what 7 yards means in a quilt that only finishes approximately 52 x 66??

This is a neat pattern but the instructions were inadequate. Did not understand the Sections cutting instructions. What are the Sections? What does 7 yards indicate? The quilt layout could use numeric indicators in the border. Nice inspiration. I worked it up on my quilting software and this is what I discovered. Some of these are guesstimates since it's hard to tell which fabrics were used in the borders. The quilt finishes at approx 52 x 66". Each block is 12 1/2" unfinished. Fabric 1 requires 1/2 yard (blocks and border). Fabrics 2, 4, 5, 6 require 3/8 yard each (blocks). Fabric 3 requires 1 yard (sashes and border cornerstones). Fabric 7 needs 1/6 yard (or 1/8 if that's more comfortable) (blocks). And Fabric 8 uses 3/4 yard (blocks and border). Backing: Horizontal seaming requires 2 7/8 yards and Vertical seaming needs 3 11/16 yards. Hope this helps someone else that's interested.

I need to know the size after the top is made so that I know how much batting abd backing to buy. I like to buy them when I am buying the main fabric to cut down shopping and make sure everything matches.
