In The Garden Greeting Card

Nothing says "Spring is here" quite like this handmade paper greeting card from Arnold Grummer's Paper Making Kits and Supplies -- share it with you friends and family in just a few easy steps.

Supplies:

  • Arnold Grummer's Papermill Complete Kit
  • Green cardstock
  • White cardstock
  • Stamp: Garden theme image
  • Printed ribbon: 6"
  • Sticker embellishment: Flower
  • Charm: Snail


Steps:

  1. Recycle yellow scrap paper. Follow kit directions to make paper.
     
  2. Trim green cardstock into two pieces: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and 2" x 3". Fold larger piece in half for card.
     
  3. Tear handmade paper to 3 3/4" x 5". Glue ribbon band to paper, 1" up from the bottom. Attach to card front.
     
  4. Stamp and color a garden theme image on white cardstock. Trim to 1 7/8" x 2 7/8". Mat on smaller green cardstock piece and attach to card.
     
  5. Use charm and sticker embellishment to finish.
     
  6. Optional: Glue a white liner to inside of card for stamped or hand-written message.

This is a cute little card project! As another option you could use old card stock from cards you have received or older cards not used for the base cards. Another option would be to use a button for a flower center with petals from yarn or fabric shaped into ovals. Sprinkle with some glitter for some extra sparkle!
