Alcohol Inks: Acetate Embellishments

Save your plastic packaging and you can use it to make cute embellishments for your paper crafting! This alcohol ink tutorial from Mari Wills is about coloring acetate embellishments with alcohol ink, a great medium for dyeing non-porous surfaces like plastic, glass, metal, and more!

Acetate Embellishments

Materials:

  • Alcohol Ink
  • Acetate shapes/die cuts (you can use premade or make them yourself using dies and the plastic packaging from products.)
  • Blending tool
  • Felt pads
  • Non-Stick Craft Mat

Instructions:

  1. Begin by putting a felt piece on your blending tool.
     
  2. Add a small puddle of alcohol ink to the felt.
     
  3. Pounce the tool across the acetate piece until it is covered with ink. Let it dry.
