This sewing project idea allows you to make a kitchen towel pattern that hangs on your fridge, oven, or any other spot you can loop it around. This allows you to make sure that towel stays put. With the Convenient Loop Towel Project you can ensure you toddler doesn’t pull your nice kitchen towels down to the floor or that your messy hubby is not tempted to scrub up a mess he should grab a paper towel for instead. Before beginning this free sewing pattern, be sure to wash your towel so that it does not shrink.

Materials List
- Fabric scraps at least 9x12 inches in size
- 1/3 yard terrycloth
- Button
- Kitchen plate
- Ruler and mat
- Sewing essentials (machine, thread, etc)
- Scrap of interfacting
- Bias tape (single or double fold works)
- Marking Pen
- Printable Sewing Pattern

Instructions

Using the pattern provided cut out 2 of towel top, set aside.

Cut out towel bottom. ( be sure you already laundered your towel fabric - see tale o f two towels) 7 inches wide by however you desire long. Using plate round off the bottom.

Finish off edge of towel with bias tape. Refer to bias tape video.

Iron on interfacing to long section of the top where button hole will go. Iron bottom edge up 1/2 inch.

Sew towel onto one side of the top. Sew button to the other.

With wrong sides together, sew top together using a .25 seam allowance. Trim curves, turn right side out.

Trim threads and you're finished!

Very cute, easy project. You could customize it to fit your kitchen theme. Or make some for each holiday theme. Last time I made some I sewed snaps on the material so you could take it off from the decorative top and toss it in to the washing machine. This is a very versatile project.
