Materials:

  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® 2oz Multi-Surface Metallic Acrylic Craft Paint - Copper
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® 2oz Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint - Periwinkle
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® 2oz Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint - Peacock Feather
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® Patterning Tape
  • Martha Stewart Crafts ® Basic Brush Set - 5pc
  • Basic Gardening Set

Instructions:

  1. Use the stencil tape to design a striped pattern on the handle of the gardening tool.

     
  2. Once the tape is pressed down firmly on the handle, paint your stripes in alternating colors with the satin paint and metallic copper paint.

     
  3. To make a polka-dot pattern, use the non-brush end of your paint brush to apply tiny dots of paint the tool’s handle.

How pretty and clever. These little tools will certainly make gardening more fun, and just think about how they will look on your potting table. They are little works of art. I think it would be fun to paint a few matching pots and maybe even a small watering can. I believe I would spray the painted parts with a clear varnish to make sure it lasted.
