Glory Days Fourth of July Ornament

This bright glory days fourth of July ornament is a testament to the glory of the United States.  There are some great craft idea for fourth of July out there.  Have fun on the fourth doing some crafting!


Gloray Days Ornament


Materials:

  • 94791 - Faux Show™ Jewelry - Gems - Assorted Packs - Grey/Blue
  • 2774 - FolkArt ® Extreme Glitter™ - Red, 5 oz.
  • 994 - FolkArt ® Acrylic Colors - Engine Red, 8 oz.
  • CS11272 - Mod Podge ® Satin, 8 oz.
  • 44219 - Apple Barrel ® Brush Sets - Wood Brush Set, Flats
  • Round paper mache ornament
  • Navy blue ribbon
  • Silver tinsel
  • Metallic star shapes
  • Scissors
  • Patriotic Victorian Scrap
  • Craft Glue
  • Jewelry findings
  • Tweezers
  • Old buttons
  • White Feather


Instructions:

  1. Basecoat front and back of ornament in Engine Red using flat brush. Allow it to dry.
     
  2. Using flat brush, apply Red Extreme Glitter to the front and back of your ornament in thin and even coats. Repeat and allow to dry.
     
  3. Cut out patriotic scraps and apply with Mod Podge Satin. Allow to dry.
     
  4. Affix the tinsel to the back of ornament with glue. Using tweezers and glue, apply feather, scraps, gems, buttons and any other patriotic embellishments as desired. Roll and bend patriotic scraps for aged effect.
     
  5. Tie navy blue ribbon to top of ornament.
