Egg Stravaganza Porcelain Carryout Carton

While this porcelain carryout carton works beautifully as an Easter basket, you can use all year to display dried or silk flower, or to keep pens and pencils on your desk. You can change out the vinyl stickers for a different look. To create the dimensional Easter eggs, see this project.  Project thanks to Sakura of America.

Eggs and Ceramic Dish

Materials:

  • Sakura of America Sticklers™ vinyl outline stickers in silver or gold
  • Sakura of America Glaze® dimensional ink pens
  • Sakura of America Soufflé™ dimensional ink pens
  • White porcelain flat-sided carryout carton (4” high)
  • Optional - Reindeer moss or excelsior

Instructions:

  1. Arrange butterfly, flower or dragonfly Sticklers stickers on the carryout carton as shown or as desired.

  2. Lay the carton on its side. Working on the side that is facing up, color in the stickers with Glaze pens for shiny translucent color. Choose Soufflé pens for opaque pastel color, or a combination of both dimensional inks.

  3. Add a border of dots at the top and bottom of the side you are working on. Let the ink dry thoroughly, at least 10 minutes. Then turn the carton to color the stickers on the next side.

  4. Reminder: This project is decorative only and is not to be immersed in water or used for food.

  5. Fill the bottom of the carton with aluminum foil. Add reindeer moss on top of the foil and arrange the decorated eggs, jelly beans, small stuffed toys, or whatever you choose. After Easter, remove the eggs, moss and foil. Use the carton for pens, or fill with dried or silk flowers.
