This season is a great time to redecorate a kid's room or a school classroom. Here's how to add a touch of whimsy and color using beads, tape, and colorful fibers to dress up a purchased coat rack. Choose embellishments that match the theme of your room or coordinate with kids' favorite colors.

Paper Mosaic Coat Rack

Materials:

  • Wooden coat rack
  • 1" & 1/4" rolls of Treasure Tape
  • Scrap papers
  • Faux gems
  • Beadlets®
  • Kreinik metallic 1/8" ribbon

Steps:

  1. Tape top of coat rack using strips of 1" Treasure Tape until fully covered, overlapping tape if necessary.

  2. Peel back red protective liner. Tear scrap paper and adhere to exposed tape. Add faux gems; Treasure Nuggets, etc. to add extra dimension.

  3. Place coat rack over a pan and pour Beadlets® over remaining exposed tape.

  4. Apply 1/4" trim tape around sides of coat rack and adhere ribbon.
