Painted Vine Pot

Take a plain terra cotta pot and turn it into something beautiful. Use fun colored patio paint to get your great design. This is a great craft to have in your kitchen or in your garden.

Materials:

  • DecoArt Products Required
  • Patio Paint
    • DCP13 - Sprout Green
    • DCP21 - Wrought Iron Black
    • DCP57 - Marigold
    • DCP65 - Tuscan Red
  • 3/4" flat brush
  • #2 round brush
  • Water container
  • Palette or plastic plate
  • Paper towels
  • 6.3" standard terra cotta pot

Steps:
Note: Allow to dry between steps.

  1. Use 3/4" flat brush and Marigold to paint rim and inside of pot.
     
  2. Refer to photo and use 3/4" flat brush and Wrought Iron Black to paint squares from top and bottom of rim to form checked pattern.
     
  3. Use 3/4" flat brush and Tuscan Red to paint pot below rim.
     
  4. Use round brush and Sprout Green to paint evenly-spaced wavy vertical lines on sides of pot.
     
  5. Use round brush and Sprout Green to paint leaves in insets of Sprout Green.
