This looks great! I did a similar project, using a fabric background on a wood frame and free-formed an initial letter. I used a template as a visual reference only, but not actually in the project. The key is to use different sizes of buttons to give the letter more definition. My project was for a bridal shower, so we asked her what her colors in her home were to be, then used white and ivory toned buttons on a darker fabric to make it pop also. Came out great and was fun to make! Thanks for sharing!

This is adorable and a nice way to use up that ever growing stash of buttons. I like the look of burlap, but I don't care for how it feels against my skin, so I think I will make a similar pillow out of a softer fabric. A nice remnant of wool or even an old sweater recycled would make attractive alternatives. Thanks for the inspiration.
