I went to the website listing for the Yarn Substitution Chart it's not there (

Hi there, Thanks so much for pointing this out. I suggest the yarn substitition chart on the Craft Yarn Council's website: http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/weight.html. Hope this helps! - Julia from FaveCrafts

Since the yarn has been discontinued and the link to the substitution chart does not work; could anyone offer some suggestions on a comparable yarn? What weight was the cozi?

Hi there, A good substitute for Caron Cozi is a thin chenille yarn. ICE has this yarn and I've been able to track it down on Etsy. Hope that helps! - Julia from FaveCrafts

Could someone tell me what sp stands for in this pattern. I have decided from some other sites that it means space However in this pattern it doesn't make sense. Could someone do a visual tutorial on this please

Hi there, you are correct - sp means space/spaces. Thanks! - Julia from FaveCrafts

The beginner purple shaw is easy and fun. Can you adapt to make for a little girl. I would like to make one. For grand daughter who is almost 4 years old. She wold love it.

I had a worsted yarn, cotton from Lion Brand, & I found that the "triangle" forming was VERY narrow & long .. I didn't use the substitution chart 'cause I didn't have a bulkier yarn. Is there a way I can crochet this pattern with a heavier but "leaner" yarn that will still create that simple triangle that is this shawl. I'm making it for a sick aunt who's in the hospital so I want to make it in cotton, w/ an open weave like picot or dc-3st-dc-type stitching. Can anyone help? I have 2 skeins of 5oz/236yds of Lion Cotton yarn that will create a 16 row, 16 stitch to = 4" gauge.

Since this question was posted over six months ago, I'm sure this reply is too late to do any good to the person who asked but it might help someone else. If you look at the yarn subtitution chart, you will see that you can use a DOUBLE strand of worsted weight yarns. Unfortunately the 2 skeins of Lion Cotton would not be enough because the pattern calls for 360 yards of the bulky yarn. If you are using a double strand you need at least 720 yards of worsted weight.

You can find the Caron yarn substitution chart here: http://www.caron.com/yarn_classif.html

this pattern is inclompete, has no yarn amount, or what kind, please correct

Caron Cozi: 15 oz. / 360 yds. Lavender Twist. it's kind of squished in there

how many skeins of yarn is needed for this pattern? it doe not show.

Where do I find the yarn substitution chart? I tried shopcaron.com but couldn't find it either.

You could always login and click on the 'save'. Won't save to your pc, but will keep it for you here.

Just open a new Word document (blank page), copy the pattern & pic and paste in the new Word doc. Then to save space and ink when you do want to print, you can also adjust the size of the font &/or picture.

I can't afford the ink to print all the patterns i want, why can't I just save as to my computer? Sandi
