Lovely top will try too

I found it on Ravelry as well as Joann websites, added it to my que! I will be tweaking this though as my chest is big and I will need (it is a must) straps!

thank you so much, its a lovely sweater, and I really hope I can make it but I was wondering if you could help me, I don't understand what it means... "When instructed to work stitches "in next shell", work the stitch(es) in the ch-2 space of the shell.

Hi Fedetla, thanks for your message. This means you're going to work in the ch-2 space of the previous row. So, for example, if the row before you're instructed to do something like, "1 sc in next stitch, ch 2, 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook", you're going to work in that space where you chained 2 and skipped the chains. Hope that helps! FaveCrafts Editor

thank you so much!!!!

Love it! Don't want to take it off. I had to make some adjustments to the pattern to match my yarn and me but it was so well written that was easy. Will defs make again

Hi there - Thanks so much for your comment! If you'd like, you can post a picture on Facebook - we'd love to see the finished product. Thanks again! - Julia from FaveCrafts

I think I would add very thin shoulder straps on this and a tad longer on the bottom. Very pretty pattern but unless some length is added, not for but very thin none busty gals, maybe.

I love the look of this pattern, but am I the only one that thinks the pineapples are upside down. Why do this pattern with a front and back? A circle would be easier.

I know it is 2017 and I am answering your question for future persons to read my answer, yes the pineapples are upside down, but as with a lot of other pineapple patterns they are also considered as "Pinecones" in this configuration. The Original name was "Aqua Aloha" top for the old caron spa yarn site (Not online anymore (.) Aloha means Hello and goodbye, the symbol should be pineapples but the designer made them pinecones (which by the way are also considered a welcoming sign and a farewell sign) which are another sign of hello and good bye... Odd strange facts in my head promted me to elaborate! Sorry.

i like it too much

I really like this one. The other one is ok, but it looks like something i could go buy at the store and not have to spend all that time making it (not to mention the money on the yarn). This one is different and very classy.

Very pretty. I like this one.

I really like this sweater. I plan to make me several of them in different colors

I like this one...I like everything pinapples!!!

I like this one the best. As evening wear but also as fun day wear or beach cover. Lots of fun.

I like this pattern best!

It may be more difficult than the other but it can't be compaired.

Really pretty will definitely try it. Off the shoulder I think is not great for everyone

I love this one! I am definitely going to try to make this.

I definitely like this one best.

i would do this pattern instead of the off the shoulder shirt. its already part of my big list of things i want to make

this has been on my "to-do" list for over a year! I just haven't found the time to do it yet.

I prefer this lacy crochet sweater.

I like the look of the lacy crochet ... however I'm not sure either appreciates being called a bag ... lol

I noticed the bag to...LOL

I like the lacy crochet look of this one better!

Love this...I just may have to make this one for myself! Hope it wins.

This is much prettier than the other top, but both tops share a feature I wouldn't have in my wardrobe. That off-the-shoulder look keeps me from making either one. If only I could figure out how to make this design into a more traditional sweater, I'd have my crochet hook out right now...

I've always been a sucker for the pineapple motif. This top is absolutely beautiful!

LOVE this one. Hope it wins the showdown.

Definitely prefer this one, for the "showdown". Though the other seems like something I might try, too.

For makenna - the "0 (1, 0, 1) are the instructions for the different sizes. If you look at the beginning of the directions, you'll see that there are directions for four different sizes. The directions for the smallest size are given first, the directions for the next three sizes are given in parentheses, in ascending size order, separated by commas. I hope this helps!

This is a beautiful pattern. I wold love to start working on it now, but alread have a project going that must be finished shortly, besides packing to move. You have too many beautiful projects on the site today. I have save many of them so sometime in the not too distant future. Thanks.

What do you mean by shape the arm holes?

I don't understand what "0 (1, 0, 1) time;" means. If you could explain it, that would be wonderful.
