I love the colors used here, very refreshing, very relaxing. They appropriately represent the colors of the ocean. I like to make this longer and a bit wider in case I decide to start this project. Will make a great gift for mom, aunt or sister.

I'm fairly new at crochet but I was wondering why it's done in two parts instead of just making longer in the first place?

I love this pattern! I used a varigated 5 yarn. It turned out wonderful. It's my favorite shawl. Long enough to o tie in front to keep it from falling off. Comes in handy when singing in church.

How many stitches did you use in your foundation chain and what color did you start with for side 2?

is there a foundation chain? if so, how many...

When starting side 2, what color are you supposed to start with?

Hi there, Thanks for your question. Since this shawl was designed by Caron, we suggest contacting them directly via their designer profile (to find it, simply click on the byline above). Thanks!

I just finished this. It turned out really cute. I'm going to give iit as a gift. But I've already started another one for myself. Love the colors.
