Used Vanna White worsted weight and had to use F hook as larger one to get the right gauge.

i need to no what does work even mean when crocheting a pattern

What is sts

sts = stitches

Very pretty flower, just don't make your stitches tight. When making the other layers on the flower, you'll need room to get your hook in. I tried it also with bulky yarn, doesn't work so well unless you omit at least 35 rows on the headband itself.

Question: What size hook do you recommend to obtain the 4" by 4" square? Mine is measuring 5" by 5".

Silly question..... In row 2-8 what does work even mean?

That's not a silly question! 'Work even' means to repeat the pattern--in this case you would repeat row 1 for a total of 8 rows.

i don't understand round 3 of the flower, is there an easier way to explain it or is there a youtube video of that flower that i can watch

work even usually means to continue working as previous round. @dorothyburrell.. hold all the previous petals towards you, so you are kind-of working behind the previous round...hope that helps

I haven't tried this yet but row 10 would be a repeat of row 2 ...then do row 3 etc. till you get to row 9. You will go back to row 2 three times I beleive it says. You might want to write down what row you are on to keep track. How this helps.

Love this pattern. Its very easy to either make smaller or larger depending on the weight of your yarn. They make great gifts with our without the flower. I've also added cute buttons on the flower and cute buttons in place of the flower.

This pattern is hard to read. What does it mean to work even rows 2-9 three times to equal 13 stitches? I have crocheted for years, but this does not seem to work for me and I like the pattern. Help!!!

What this means is to work rows number 2-8, do your increase row on 9 and do this again 3 more times for a total of 33 rows. In other words, you'd work an even 5 stitches for rows 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Then you'd increase by 2 stitches in row 9 where you'd have 7 stitches at the end of row 9. Then - you'd do it all over again - 3 more times. It's a weird pattern. If you want to make a headband, chain the width of band you'd like and then crochet however many rows you need to make the headband the size you want. You can crochet in the front or back loops only to create a ribbing but there is no need for all this increasing or decreasing. You're just crocheting a straight piece to the length you need. Hope this helps.

If you are going to have ends smaller than the middle., you have to decrease 3 times. You do this decrease by crocheting at least 4 - 6 rows each decrease amount

Sorry I meant to say that I am stuck on rows 10 - 33 the direction say repeat 2 - 9 three times. I have no clue what to do and I really want to make this for xmas so if someone reads this and can answer me please do

I have replied above. Hope it helps you juljadw4. If not I'll try to explain it again. Good luck.

I could not understand how to do rows 2-8 very confusing. What row do I crochet 3 times. I want to make this headband for Christmas so I need someone to get back to me asap

The pattern was simple and effective, I loved it and it took me about an hour to make. It's so cute and warm!

I hope you read this soon. I would love to make this but I am stuck on rows 10 - 33 the direction say repeat 2 - 9 three times. I have no clue what that means

the round 3 for the flower is confusing is there an easier was to show or explain

Impossible to follow these directions.

nice love it

This is also my favorite...will make this one..
